Energy 路 Kazakhstan

What was the reported 2012 development budget for the first phase of the Kashagan oilfield?

Kashagan is an offshore oil and gas field in Kazakhstan's northern Caspian Sea. Its first development phase required artificial islands and extensive processing infrastructure. The International Energy Agency reported that the phase-one development budget had risen to US$46 billion in 2012. This is a dated phase budget, not the final cost of the field or the much larger forecast for its entire development life.
