How much did the first tube of the Lincoln Tunnel cost to build?

The Lincoln Tunnel is the three-tube vehicular tunnel under the Hudson River between Weehawken, New Jersey, and Midtown Manhattan, New York, operated by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and funded in part by the Public Works Administration, whose construction began in March 1934 and whose first (center) tube opened to traffic on 22 December 1937, followed by the second tube on 1 February 1945 and the third tube in 1957. The Living New Deal, citing the 1939 PWA survey of public buildings, says the cost of construction of the first tube was USD 85,000,000, as does Wikipedia; the third tube cost USD 94 million.
