How much does Long Thanh International Airport cost?
Long Thanh International Airport is the new airport in Dong Nai Province near Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, designed for over 100 million passengers and five million tonnes of cargo a year when all phases are built, with a phase 1 of two 4,000 m runways and capacity for 25 million passengers and 1.2 million tonnes of cargo a year, whose first technical flights landed in December 2025 and whose full commercial operations are scheduled for December 2026. The Investor reported in April 2025 a total phase 1 investment of VND 109.71 trillion (nearly USD 4.28 billion) and a three-phase project total of VND 336.63 trillion (USD 14.12 billion), while Wikipedia says the total is estimated at USD 18.7 billion.
