Bridge 路 United States

How much did Madison Avenue Bridge cost to build?

The Madison Avenue Bridge carries Madison Avenue over the Harlem River between Manhattan and the Bronx in New York City, with a 304 ft 7 in steel cantilevered truss swing span, designed by Alfred P. Boller, opened on 18 July 1910 and replacing a smaller swing bridge, and owned by the New York City Department of Transportation. A 2024 Heavy Movable Structures symposium paper by Parsons engineers says the mechanical and electrical rehabilitation of the swing span, built by Skanska, cost approximately USD 50 million, while the USD 90.5 million of the Wikipedia infobox is not explained in the article and the original 1910 cost was not found.
