How much did Millennium Stadium cost to build?
The Millennium Stadium (now the Principality Stadium) in Cardiff is the retractable-roof national stadium of Wales, designed by Bligh Lobb Sports Architecture (Populous) with WS Atkins as structural engineers and built by John Laing between 1997 and 1999 for the 1999 Rugby World Cup, whose first match was Wales against South Africa on 26 June 1999. The Glamorgan Archives and Wikipedia say its total construction cost was GBP 121 million, of which GBP 46 million was lottery funding from the Millennium Commission, the rest coming from private investment, debentures and loans that left the Welsh Rugby Union heavily indebted.
