How much did Milwaukee County Stadium cost to build?
Milwaukee County Stadium was the ballpark of the Milwaukee Braves, later the Brewers and for some seasons the Green Bay Packers, the first major league ballpark in the United States financed with public funds, through city and county bonds, with construction starting in October 1950, hampered by Korean War steel shortages, and completion in spring 1953, in time for the Braves' first regular-season home game on 14 April 1953. Wikipedia and Historic Baseball give its cost as USD 5.9 million, with the bonds paid off in 1964, and SABR says the cost was initially put at USD 5 million.
