How much was Monju Nuclear Power Plant expected to cost?

The Monju Nuclear Power Plant (Monju, the Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor) in Tsuruga, Fukui Prefecture, is the 280 MW sodium-cooled fast breeder reactor operated by the Japan Atomic Energy Agency, which reached criticality on 5 April 1994, began generating power on 29 August 1995, suffered the sodium leak and fire of 8 December 1995 and was ordered scrapped by the Japanese government on 21 December 2016. Japanese Wikipedia gives its construction cost as about JPY 590 billion (initial budget) and about JPY 1.081 trillion cumulatively, and English Wikipedia says the plant had cost JPY 1 trillion by 2014; the Nikkei reported on 6 December 2017 that decommissioning over 30 years from fiscal 2018 to 2047 would cost JPY 375 billion.
