How much did Monostor Bridge cost to build?
The Monostori Bridge is the cable-stayed cross-border road bridge of about 600 m over the Danube between Komarom in Hungary and Komarno in Slovakia, the highest bridge on the Danube with a 7,000-tonne steel structure, whose foundation stone was laid on 17 October 2017 and which was inaugurated in September 2020 after three years of work. The European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency states that its total cost was over EUR 117 million, of which just over EUR 100 million (85 percent) came from the EU's CEF Transport programme, whereas Wikipedia only repeats the 2013 estimate of HUF 25 billion.
