How much did Narora Atomic Power Station cost to build?
The Narora Atomic Power Station is a nuclear power plant of two 220 MW pressurized heavy-water reactors operated by the Nuclear Power Corporation of India at Narora in Uttar Pradesh, near the Ganges, with Unit 1 begun on 1 December 1976 and commissioned on 1 January 1991 and Unit 2 begun on 1 November 1977 and commissioned on 1 July 1992. A committee of the Parliament of India recorded a revised project estimate of INR 399.64 crore for the two units in 1982, while the Wikipedia infobox's cost of 12.65 billion US dollars is implausible for the plant. A serious turbine fire in 1993 led to major safety reviews.
