How much did Newark Liberty International Airport cost to build?
Newark Liberty International Airport is the New York area airport that is United Airlines' largest hub by available seat miles, opened on 2 October 1928 as Newark Metropolitan Airport after a plan ordered by Mayor Thomas Raymond on 3 August 1927 with construction on reclaimed land beginning on 1 April 1928, and rebuilt in parts since, so the entry has no single cost. The Port Authority's page for the new one-million-square-foot, 33-gate Terminal A, opened in January 2023, gives USD 2.7 billion, while Wikipedia says the original airport was estimated to cost USD 6 million in 1927.
