How much did PayPal Park cost to build?
PayPal Park (originally Avaya Stadium) is the San Jose Earthquakes' 18,000-seat soccer stadium near San Jose airport in California, privately financed by the club's owners and built from a groundbreaking on 21 October 2012 for its opening in spring 2015. NBC Bay Area reported on 19 November 2014 that its cost had ballooned to about USD 100 million from an initial USD 60 million, the same figure as Wikipedia, and that Avaya had bought the naming rights for USD 20 million over 10 years.
