How much did ponte della Costituzione cost to build?
The Ponte della Costituzione (Constitution Bridge, the Calatrava Bridge) is the fourth bridge over the Grand Canal in Venice, designed by Santiago Calatrava and opened on 11 September 2008. Il Giornale di Vicenza reported in 2013 that its cost, first set at EUR 4 million, rose to almost 7 at the final design and to over EUR 11 million at the end of the works, and Il Fatto Quotidiano reported in 2019 a final cost of EUR 11.6 million against an initial EUR 7 million, when the Court of Auditors ordered Calatrava to pay EUR 78,000 for negligence.
