Bridge 路 Canada

How much did Port Mann Bridge cost to build?

The Port Mann Bridge is a 10-lane cable-stayed bridge over the Fraser River near Vancouver, British Columbia, built by Kiewit and Flatiron under a fixed-price design-build contract of CAD 2.46 billion as part of the Port Mann/Highway 1 Improvement Project that also widened about 37 km of Highway 1 and was delivered by the Transportation Investment Corporation. A construction review prepared for the Ministry of Finance by Perrin, Thorau and Associates and AECOM, reported by theBreaker on 1 August 2018, puts the final project cost at CAD 3.367 billion, a CAD 48 million increase on the 2009 approved budget, with total increases of CAD 323.78 million largely offset by lower property and interest costs.
