How much did it cost to build the Riverside Stadium for Middlesbrough F.C. in 1995?
The Riverside Stadium is Middlesbrough F.C.'s all-seater ground, built by Taylor Woodrow Construction in about nine months from autumn 1994 as the first stadium designed to meet the Taylor Report and opened on 26 August 1995 with a 2-0 win over Chelsea, replacing Ayresome Park. Football-Stadiums.co.uk and Around The Grounds both give the construction cost as GBP 16 million for the original 30,000-seat stadium, as does Wikipedia, and a 1998 expansion of 5,000 seats cost a further GBP 5 million.
