How much did Salem Nuclear Power Plant cost to build?
The Salem Nuclear Generating Station on the Delaware River in New Jersey has two pressurised-water reactors of about 2,300 MW combined, owned 57 percent by PSEG and 43 percent by Exelon, with construction starting on 25 September 1968, Unit 1 entering operation in 1977 and Unit 2 in 1981, and licences running to 2036 and 2040. Neither source gives the money actually spent at the time: Wikipedia, citing EIA, states USD 4.283 billion in 2007 dollars, and the Nuclear Decommissioning Collaborative states USD 5.2 billion in 2018 dollars.
