How much did Sequoyah Nuclear Generating Station cost to build?

The Sequoyah Nuclear Plant near Soddy-Daisy, Tennessee, is owned and operated by the Tennessee Valley Authority and has two Westinghouse pressurised-water reactors with net summer capacities of 1,152 MW and 1,126 MW, in commercial operation since 1 July 1981 and 1 June 1982 after construction began on 27 May 1970. The US Energy Information Administration's 2010 State Nuclear Profile for Tennessee lists its construction cost as USD 3.455 billion in 2007 dollars, adjusted by the consumer price index from a 1986 EIA report, so it is an inflation-adjusted figure, not the nominal historical cost.
