What did construction of the Sihwa Lake Tidal Power Station cost?
South Korea's Sihwa plant generates electricity from tidal flows through an existing lake embankment. The International Hydropower Association records US$560 million for construction between 2003 and 2011. Ten turbines provide 254 MW of installed capacity; this project cost is not the cost of creating the older lake or embankment.
