How much did the Spalding Power Station in Lincolnshire cost to build?
Spalding Power Station (Spalding Energy) is an 860 MW combined-cycle gas-fired power station on West Marsh Road north of Spalding, Lincolnshire, owned by InterGen's Spalding Energy Company, with output sold to Centrica under a 17-year tolling agreement agreed in 2002. Construction began in 2001 or March 2002 depending on the source, and it entered commercial operation in October 2004; Wikipedia gives its cost as GBP 425 million citing a Centrica press release of 18 October 2004 that could not be opened. A separate 300 MW open-cycle expansion costing about GBP 100 million was commissioned in July 2019.
