How much did the Sundial Bridge at Turtle Bay in Redding cost to build?
The Sundial Bridge at Turtle Bay is a 700 ft (about 210 m) cantilever-spar cable-stayed footbridge over the Sacramento River in Redding, California, designed by Santiago Calatrava as his first free-standing bridge in the United States, linking the two campuses of Turtle Bay Exploration Park. It opened on 4 July 2004, three years later than planned, at a cost of USD 23.5 million funded by the Redding-based McConnell Foundation, against a city budget of USD 3 million for a simple pedestrian bridge. The cost comes from Architectuul and Wikipedia, which cite newspaper reports, and the San Francisco Chronicle review could not be loaded.
