How much does Sydney Metro Western Sydney Airport cost?

Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport is a 23 km driverless metro line with six stations (St Marys, Orchard Hills, Luddenham, Western Sydney International Business Park, the airport terminal and the Aerotropolis) being built by the Australian and New South Wales governments to Western Sydney International Airport. Railway News (updated May 2026) gives its cost as A$11 billion, matching the price tag Wikipedia reports from the governments' June 2020 announcement, split between the Commonwealth and NSW. Wikipedia says services may not start until April 2027, and that in 2025 the Parklife Metro consortium lodged claims of up to A$2.2 billion over delays and scope changes, so the cost may rise.
