What redevelopment cost did the Northern Ireland Audit Office report for Windsor Park?
The redevelopment of Windsor Park gave Northern Ireland a rebuilt national football stadium in Belfast, rather than creating a new venue from scratch. The Northern Ireland Audit Office says the work was completed and officially opened in October 2016 in line with an estimated GBP 35 million cost. A separate GBP 0.8 million grant approved in 2022 settled the construction contract final account; it should not be silently added to or substituted for the stated redevelopment estimate.
